Welcome and thanks for coming to our booking page. New patient and Orthopedic appointments are on Mondays, Thursdays and and some Fridays, clinic return appointments are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Reach out by email if you need me to make an exception and we’ll try to fit you in some other way, tarabiancaacupuncture@gmail.com. As a small non profit, we do ask for a deposit for first appointment, thanks for your understanding!

Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine

Tiny single use sterile needles will be inserted into acupuncture points and on channels and into trigger points, pain relieving, anti inflammatory. We may also use tui na (Chinese massage) gua sha, cupping, topical herbal applications, e stim and tdp lamp therapeutics.

Massage Therapy

Lomi Lomi Massage with Carrie is a traditional Hawaian therapeutic healing modality that includes oil, kneading and long strokes. Therapeutic massage with Tara includes shiatsu, tui na, guasha, cupping and orthopedic massage.

Traditional Herbal Medicine

These sessions are done in office, via Zoom or at a home or space and will result in prescribed herbal medicine for internal or external application. I am trained in both Traditional Chinese herbalism as well as native and Western herbal medicine and utilize infusion teas, tinctures, decoctions, powders and pills depending on patient need.

Polestar Astrology

Zhi Wei Dou Shu, Polestar or Purplestar Astrology is a Song dynasty fate calculation system that brings together elements of Daoism, Buddhism and Confucianism to look at the dance between one's character, and the interplay of fate and freedom in their life. Tara Bianca Rado LAc

Tara is the lead acupuncturist at Durham Integrative Health and Acupuncture clinic. She has been practicing massage and bodywork since 1995, studying herbal medicine since 1996 and began her training in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine in 2011. Tara loves coming to work, loves what she does and truly believes in the body’s ability to heal itself through acupuncture, bodywork, herbs, nutrition and deepening our connections to ourselves, our communities and the earth.

Carrie Wise LMBT

Carrie Wise is a bodyworker, healer and a retired midwife, her work reflects the energy of birth. Her style of bodywork is rooted in the teachings and form of Sacred Lomi, an ancient and living healing practice. It includes tending the physical body with massage with while also honoring and welcoming the non-physical parts of ourselves. In conjunction with the bodywork, she simultaneously use vocal toning. Vocal toning is a powerful vibrational medicine that facilitates a healing state of consciousness that complements and enhances healing touch. Male patients through referral only, thank you!
